Mindfulness is a basic human ability that allows us to pay full and continuous attention to internal and external experiences that occur in the present moment non-judgmentally.
Since our minds have the characteristic of generating thousands of thoughts a day and getting lost in them, the practice of mindfulness is the discipline of training the mind to be calmer, more lucid and kinder. In other words, it is a training that allows us to increase our self-awareness and self-regulation, know more about our mind and improve the way we relate to it. Everyone has the potential to cultivate and develop this state of mind and skill.
What will you learn?
- Increase your self-awareness to facilitate your personal growth, learning, performance and well-being.
- Increase your levels of attention, concentration and redirection of the mind.
- Reduce stress and improve self-regulation capacity in regular, complex or stressful situations.
- Increase your levels of self-compassion to overcome harsh self-criticism, perfectionism and improve self-confidence and self-esteem.
- Improve the way they manage emotions in everyday life and learn to respond to the demands of the environment instead of reacting automatically, impulsively or uncontrollably.
- Measurement: in order to measure the program's efficiency and participants' evolution I would be happy to use a measurement questionnaire such as the renowned FFQM (Five Facets Mindfulness Questionnaire) or a personalized one. You need to answer the questionnaire before the start of the program and once finished.
What do you need to know/bring?
- Please bring a yoga mat or similar
- Curiosity and willingness to learn!
- There is no “mindfulness” background or experience needed
- Nice to have (optional): meditation cushions.

This programme is offered with a "per term" price commitment. All programme term dates are on this page. Sessions that fall on holidays will not run, this has been factored into the planning and pricing.
Please note: All our afterschool programmes have a minimum number of learners needed to run. If we do not reach this number you will be informed no later than 7 days before the programme start date and refunded in full.
